Languedoc-Roussillon region
Deep in the south of France lays the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Drenched in hours of sunshine and covering acre after acre of some of the most prodigious wine producing vineyards in the whole of France this region is able to produce fabulous red and white wines in huge quantities.
Such is the nature of wine making in France however, and such a source of national pride, that quality is never allowed to give way to quantity.

In this region, as in the whole of France, the standard of wine production is kept at a remarkably high level, despite the level of production and the rivalry amongst the various chateaux ensures that standards remain high.
